Lets talk about beds. So boxing day we got straight in the car in the morning and headed to my Grandparents house in Birmingham. It took us 3 and a half hours. We arrived, had a cup of tea and I went off to revise in the “library” (more like 3 chairs and a desk and a handful of books) whilst my family headed off to my aunties for christmas round two, about 2 hours later I joined them. By this point I was starving and thankful for the food but I also had a headache and wasn’t in the mood for my aunties (she’s a primary school teachers) games, but I smiled and got through it before going to bed in my cousins bedroom on THEE most uncomfortable death bed/camp bed ever.  The next morning I snuck out early and met my Dad to go look at Leicester university. I won’t wore you with the details but it was a good 50 minutes both ways, and our new cars chairs were far more comfy than the bed I’d slept in, so I had time for a nap. After a bit of lunch my dad dropped me off to do some more revision before going back to my aunties for a repeat of the day before, except this time I made liv swap with me with the slightly more bearable, but not ideal bed.  The next morning we were up at the crack of dawn and off to Durham, once we’d been for a walk and some lunch in the town (forgot to mention that was another 3 hours and a half drive) we checked into our hotel and got upgraded to a suite with a king size bed EACH, needles to say I didn’t leave the room till dinner time when we went out for Thai, and took full advantage of the spa and 2 plasma tv’s in our room.  The next morning after a cooked breakfast we braced ourselves for the 7 AND A HALF HOUR DRIVE HOME. It was painful…to say the least. But here i am now having survived it.
